This high-spec, high performance Lotus twin cam engine features an all-steel bottom end and gas-flowed big valve performance head as well as an original and very rare Lotus/Holbay cam cover.
It’s located in Sydney and available for pickup only at a price of $26,500.
Condition: Fully rebuilt, zero-mile condition with competition-grade components
Bottom end: 711M block built for high RPM and maximum reliability. Features an all-steel bottom end with a fully counter-weighted steel crankshaft, Farndon steel rods, and premium Carrillo pistons. Fully balanced rotating assembly secured by ARP rod bolts. Lightened steel flywheel secured with ARP bolts and full clutch assembly. Brand new ARP head stud kit with ARP 12 point nuts and washers. Brand new front chest/sandwich plate/removable water pump assembly, brand new lightweight small diameter crank pulley.
Oiling system: High-efficiency brand new Titan 5-port oil pump paired with a specialized steel dry sump oil pan.
Cylinder head: Performance-engineered head, fully gas-flowed with big valves 1.625” / 1.375”, aggressive .440″ lift , 248 duration at 0.050” cam shafts and 11:1 compression ratio. New valve train components including alloy hub adjustable sprockets supplied all supplied by Tony Ingram USA.
Induction & ignition: Fuelled by twin Weber 45 carburettors with K & N pancake filters and paired with a brand new modern, programmable 123Ignition system for precise timing control.
Engine has been run with camshafts now run in, however will require jetting to set up to your desired specification. This can be arranged along with a dyno at buyer’s additional cost if required.
