South Australia’s Lotus Torque for September, 2020

Catch up with our friends in South Australia with Andrew Stevens’ September 2020 edition of SA Lotus Torque.

SA Lotus Torque: September 2020

Thanks to Andrew Stevens

After a few months of quiet reflection and observing the evolving rules around COVID, the SA crew sprung back into action at the start of August for a Sunday morning run to McLaren Vale, via Clarendon.

With Michael Ford once again showing his knowledge of the Southern Vales routes, we had about 25 participants, including a couple of newbies. Wayne Macintosh used the downtime to give his S1 Elise a refresh and was raving about the difference, while yours truly joined in running in a new engine on the S2.

It was great to catch up with everyone at the McLaren Vale visitor centre, and blow the cobwebs out of the cars on another superb Adelaide winter’s day.

So long as things remain sane, we plan to run to the following program for the rest of the year. We’re conscious of the experience of our Victorian friends who are locked down with a second wave, and recognize the importance of social distancing and hygiene practices, so we’ll be monitoring the government announcements.
