Welcome to 2026 and the first CLA lunch run of the year! It’s not the Beecroft to Burrawang Blast, but the Rustle – the Beecroft to Robo Rustle!
Lock in the date: Sunday the 1st March and register online via our Member Jungle event at this link.
Prepare your steads (Lotus preferred, but not essential) plus partners, family members or friends.
The plan is:
Meet in Beecroft at Cafe Long Shot at 7:15am (or before) for an 8:00am get away. Parking at the Railway Carpark – Wongala Crescent, Beecroft.
Grab a coffee, but we need to be away by 8am. If you plan to eat here before we head off, please arrive around 7am.
Head towards the airport via the M2, Lane Cove Tunnel for an acoustic adventure (Did someone mention tunnels?) Continue southwards towards the Royal National Park.
Stop to pick up any Southerners (or Shire folk) at Loftus Oval before heading into the Royal National Park towards Otford. It’s Sunday, so the Royal National Park will be busy (not to mention likely full of cyclists and The Fuzz).
Stop at ‘The Otford Pantry’ for a coffee and leg stretch – 30 mins max. From there, journey through Stanwell Park over the Sea Cliff Bridge towards Thirroul and then onto Albion Park. At Albion Park, Head along the Illawarra Highway and up Macquarie Pass.
At the Top of the Pass we take a slightly longer tour around Robertson via the Tourist Road (yes the infamous branch dropping road!) and complete our journey at the Robertson Public House. (https://robertsonpublichouse.com.au)
We have a booking at 12:30pm in the “Back Deck” area – undercover. We should be able to park our cars in pub’s car park – behind the pub and next to the “Back Deck”.
After lunch (at your expense), you can either return back the way you came or head up the freeway to Sydney. For those interested, the pub is having a Carol King tribute show from 4:30pm that day… why not stay the night?
Places are limited to 50 people, so please register via Member Jungle to let us know that you’d like to attend, as well as how many in your party and a contact number and email address.
Tour notes and general advice will be given in the week prior and also on the day, but remember:
- It’s a great drive through plenty of different terrain – you will have a plenty to discuss over lunch
- Arrive with a full tank of fuel! If you need to stop for fuel, you will be touring solo
- We are representing Club Lotus Australia, so please be on your best behaviour and respect other motorists
- Be courteous with other participants, especially when overtaking. ‘Red mist’ will not be tolerated
- Remember speed limits, police and cyclists – it’s a Sunday and all will be bountiful
- Have fun with your fellow Lotus enthusiasts!
Looking forward to a great day and if you have any questions, you can reach us via [email protected] or [email protected]
