On Wednesday the 25th of July we enjoyed a lovely social evening at Carbonix geeking out over carbon, engineering and all the interesting work that the Carbonix team is doing with drones.

Carbonix founder Dario Valenza and the team at Carbonix very kindly hosted us at their Artarmon premises for our July 2018 social evening. We enjoyed an interesting chat about the company’s recent work with VTOL drones, including their autopilot and avionics systems, before taking a break to refuel, catch up and explore the stunning work on display in their immaculate workspace.

More than a few of us have an interest in engineering and there are parallels to be drawn between the work and ethos of Carbonix and the pioneering days of Colin Chapman and Lotus, so it made for a fascinating setting for a social evening.
