Celebrating 50 years of Club Lotus Australia, featuring a gala dinner on Saturday the 24th of June. Book through our Member Jungle system at this link.

Believe it or not, it really is 50 years since that august group of Lotus fanatics started gathering in various car parks and homes in and around Sydney. Like so many acorn-sized beginnings, CLA has grown, morphed and changed over the years, but one thing has stayed constant – the focus on having fun with our Lotus cars.

So, we thought it’d be lovely to mark the occasion with a gathering of the clans. We’ve plumped for the Fairmont Resort (and Spa!) in the Blue Mountains. Dates for your diary are Friday 23rd June – Sunday 25th June, with the gala dinner held on the evening of Saturday the 24th.

There are two halves to your booking for the event – the gala dinner, available here, and accommodation for the weekend. This booking provides reservation for the gala dinner, commemorative merchandise and event booklet.

On the accommodation front, we have organised a discount code at the Fairmont Resort, which will be provided in your confirmation email once you place your booking for the dinner by clicking the ‘Purchase Tickets’ link above.

There are 50 rooms reserved at the rate of $329 per night including breakfast for 1 person, with an additional breakfast available at $29 (so for 2 nights $658 per single, $716 per couple including 2 breakfasts). Please quote the booking code at time of booking, which you can place by calling the Fairmont’s reservations team on 02 4785 0000 or emailing reservations@fairmontresort.com.au.

Please note that the discounted rate is available on a first-in best-dressed basis, and once they’re booked rooms will be offered at the best available public rate.

While the Fairmont Resort will serve as our home base for the weekend’s events, if you would like to stay elsewhere, you are of course most welcome!

Provisional Programme

Registration will be held at Fairmont Resort on Friday afternoon, after which we will retire to the bar to catch up and settle into proceedings with some casual welcome drinks. There are no firm plans for dinner, but we will provide some ideas in the local area.

Saturday morning will open with a concours d’elegance, with judging planned for around 10am. This should leave time for some adventuring during the day, with half day drives planned alongside exploring the local area or enjoying activities at the resort. Again, we will provide a road book with lots of ideas for things to do in the local area.

Early on Saturday evening we’ll meet up at the Fairmont Resort bar to relax over drinks before heading into the formal gala dinner, where we look forward to hearing guest of honour William Taylor speak as part of a wonderful celebratory dinner.

On Sunday morning we’ll wind down with a casual breakfast, with the day open to what ever exploring or adventuring takes your fancy.
