I am pleased to advise that after a long time being pestered by many people (Yes alright, include me in that lot), Ian Scott-Watson has finally published his book!

Black Sheep in the Fast Lane is not another Jim Clark book – there are plenty of those already. It is a book of his personal reminiscences of the past 80-odd years of a life of motor sport, architectural design, sailing and enjoying life.

As the person who launched Jim on his motor racing career it does, inevitably, contain much about Jim as a friend. It also reflects on the teams for which he drove – the Border Reivers and Team Lotus – and experiences of earlier motor sport from the time that their paths first crossed, with a few comments about today’s commercialised motor racing.

Although unheralded by the mass of today’s racing fans, Ian is widely recognized by the knowledgeable enthusiast as a significant contributor to motor sport. This book is a must have for anybody that claims to be a true fan.
