Upcoming Motorsport Events: March 2016

With 2016’s Club motorsport season well under way, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy driving your Lotus in the manner for which it was designed. Read on for all the news on what’s coming up.

Round 2 of the CSCA Series is to be held next weekend, on Sunday the 13th of March at Sydney Motorsport Park. It will be hosted by the MG Car Club and entries are open now on CAMS Motor Event Entry. Get your entry in and come along for a run!

On Good Friday, the 25th of March, our friends in the Sprite Club are running a Supersprint at Marulan Driver Training Centre. This event which will see Sprites and Midgets from all over Australia competing.

As MDTC does not currently have a dorian timing loop, we will be using manual timing. So, if super accurate timing is important to you, this may not be the right event for you! Instead, we plan on running a relaxed day with the focus on first time competitors. This is an ideal opportunity for many of us to run at this track for the first time.

The entry cost will be $165 and we are running under a CAMS permit with medical and fire services.

Finally, the Australian Supersprint Championships are going to be held in conjunction with Round 3 of the MSCA Championship, which many of our cousins in Victoria enjoy, on the 23rd & 24th of April.

This is a two day event which, considering it is being held at Winton Raceway, makes the travel well worth the effort. Entry is via www.meecamsau.com and the attached flyer should give you some of the details to wet the appetite.
